Housemeister (Boysnoize Records / AYCB / Detroit Underground)

A DJ for over half of his life, Housemeister first got a pair of turntables in 1994, going on to win a DJ contest at the Popkomm Festival in Cologne back 1998. He then joint Ellen Allien's BPC collective in 1999 and started releasing records on Bpitch Control on 2001.

Not a bad start. 

Fast forward to 2015 and he is the label head of AYCB Records and part of Boysnoize Records, also releasing tracks on Modeselektor´s Monkeytown and 50Weapons imprints. As a full-analog studio crack he's produced 6 full length studio albums and more than 50 Vinyl EP´s. Touring 50 countries worldwide and playing festivals like Melt, Warehouse Project Manchester, Tomorrowland, Sonne-Mond & Sterne, Igloofest, Pukkelpop, Mysteryland, Optimus Alive, Southwestfour London, WMC, Holyship, Sonar, Hardfest and SXSW with his very own interpretation of techno. 

Not one to follow trends, he's always done what he wants - with performances that fuse a 90’s ghetto vibe and the energy of a punk band. One of his albums was made with the program Nanoloops on a Gameboy, which was rated album of the month by Mixmag. "Back in the day" he even played live shows only with a playstation portable and a Kaosspad. The OP-1 project-album on BNR in 2014 was only made with 1 instrument in hotels and planes. 

Housemeister is a DJ with both skills and musical knowledge, a crowdpleaser who wants to party. Whether it be a techno floor or sunny beach. This has been proved time and time again at his bi-monthly residency at Suicide club, Berlin. 

Always open to collaborations - he has remixed the likes of Chicago Legends Robert Armani and DJ Deeon, Paul Kalkbrenner, Zombie Nation, Boys Noize, Modeselektor and Matthew Herbert in the past.
